Position Description

• Spends most of their time in the Tasting Barn and on the grounds – either preparing for guests or actively assisting them.
• Engages with guests, hosts wine tastings, rings up and wraps purchases.
• Follows checklists for opening, closing, and other procedures.
• Cleans interior of the Tasting Barn, including restrooms, restocks wine and merchandise, and ensures the surrounding outdoor areas are clean and inviting for guests; also cleans The Vineyard House, our short-term rental, up the hill from the Tasting Barn.
• Works with our grapevines, at times – pruning, harvesting, or performing other activities that help them to fulfill their purpose.

We are looking for someone who:

• Contributes to an inviting and welcoming environment for team members and guests from various backgrounds and with differing perspectives.
• Finds delight in engaging with others, making people’s day, and creating a fun and relaxing space for guests to connect with nature’s simple pleasures.
• Enjoys learning about all things nature and wine, following defined processes, and has a keen eye for details.
• Takes initiative and thrives across the spectrum of lively and leisurely-paced environments, throughout a given day or season.
• Can lift 50 pounds, is agile enough to climb a tight staircase, and can stand for 7 to 10 hours at a time.
