Preferred IPA is one of the leading independent physician associations in Los Angeles County with a network of nearly 1000 primary and specialty care providers. We are seeking a representative who will be respinsible to maintain and update accurate database of physician Network and To assist with Network Admin & provider relations department duties for the continuous delivery of quality health care to Preferred IPA’s patient population..

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• To serve as a liaison between Preferred IPA network providers and contracted health plans
• To assist with processing all new Physician and ancillary applications
• To maintain and update all appropriate data bases
• Update all changes to contracted provider network in Preferred system and share the changes with contracted Health plans
• To ensure all contracted providers are included with health plan rosters
• Assistance with Preparation of Physician rosters
• To assist with multiple Administrative duties
• Resolve provider/health plan issues and inquiries by implementing corrective course of action
• Service Network providers internally with conducting provider orientations, answering capitation inquiries, panel changes, provider terminations, and assistance with navigating Preferred Portal
• Education and Training
• Bachelor degree at a four-year accredited college and/or comparable years of healthcare experience
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in the health care industry with a solid customer service problem-solving background; excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Knowledge of Medicare & Medi-Cal managed care and/or Medi-Cal regulations, policies and procedures is required

Salary Range: Negotiable, based on experience
