Household Assistant Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid Certification from an In-Person Course
• Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a healthcare setting
• Ability to Communicate Effectively
• Reliable Transportation to worksite location

Household Assistants are expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Prepares and serves meals to residents based on dietary needs, and properly maintains all food storage, prep, and service areas. Restocking food items as needed.
• Cleans the household rooms and common areas using routine cleaning standards as well as those performed on a project basis. Maintains housekeeping equipment under the instruction of the Household Coordinator.
• Assists in conducting programs, visits, and activities geared to the interest and abilities of the residents.
• Complies with established policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices including safety, infection control and sanitation regulations for housekeeping, dietary, laundry and activities.
• Attends all in-service and training sessions relevant to the position.
