Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct HSE oversight and compliance of all jobsites.
• Lead HSE team by being visible at jobsites and interacting with customers, employee-owners, and site leadership.
• Oversee and support the regulatory compliance process of the company.
• Analyze and evaluate the company’s performance and recommend programs and/or other actions that continuously improve its performance.
• Take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm, and for developing strategies that drive performance and support continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, career planning and team development with all safety subordinates.
• Build strategic relationships with senior management and operations management to provide guidance and ensure alignment.
• Be responsive to issues.
• Ensure company safety-training requirements are consistently implemented and updated.
• Monitor operational performance and make recommendation for improvements.
• Build and maintain industry relationships that support the organization.
• Interface with clients, industry groups, and business partners to identify lessons learned and best practices; communicate applicable results.
• Develop, administer, and monitor budgets for assigned areas.
• Participate in new customer presentations and new site transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree - safety, engineering, science, business, or other relevant field of study; or equivalent education and experience;
• Professional designation (i.e. CSP, CIH, ASP, P.E.) or meet the qualification requirements of a national certifying agency; or be actively pursuing such designation.
• 12 or more years of HSE experience, including 5+ years of leading and managing at a regional or corporate (oil & gas, chemical and petrochemical) level; project execution experience with a wide range of project delivery types and lines of business; experience implementing HSE management system; management and supervisory experience beyond HSE functional organization is preferred.
