Job Purpose
The HR Business Partner is assigned to certain sites / employee groups within the US and supports the company’s strategy to drive Value to our Customers, create Opportunities for Employees and add Value for Shareholders. As a strategic partner, this role supports developing organization and talent strategies and leading the change management initiatives needed to enable those strategies. The HRBP also executes on a number of operational HR tasks, ensuring enablement of our business teams and leaders. This HR Business Partner function is located in Atlanta, GA, and will support two of our businesses (MacDermid Graphics Solutions and Offshore) across four sites (Atlanta, GA; Morristown, TN; Houston, TX; Pasadena, TX).
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with assigned site leadership teams to align current and future business needs with the HR strategy and ensure alignment to the overall company strategy, culture and values
- Partner in implementing organizational talent planning and talent acquisition strategies
- Ensure the proper roll out of HR processes within the assigned sites and employee groups (systems, performance reviews, engagement, etc.)
- Support performance management of staff and manage employee relations as necessary (Continuous Performance Management, PIPs, Coaching)
- Identify people or capabilities gaps (e.g. performance, talent, compensation) and develop targeted solutions for the assigned employee groups
- Integrate and partner with global and local HR colleagues in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation to implement solutions and help scale the business
- Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions within the assigned sites employee groups
- Assist employees as needed
- Act as a change agent and culture carrier for the business, willing to make continuous improvements and strive for positive change in partnership with the business leadership teams
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5-7 years of HR Business Partner or HR Manager experience within a manufacturing or other industrial environment
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills (written, spoken, etc.)
- Passion to empower team members through training
- Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively partner with all level of manager/leaders
