Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to help clients impacted by serious mental illness and those at risk for homelessness through the teaching of life skills classes. Instruction will focus on daily living skills, which is an essential component of individuals’ health and recovery. Classes may include cooking and food preparation, budgeting and money management and personal care and organization. Work may also involve assisting with therapeutic group sessions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Ability to work as an effective team member is essential.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience working with people with serious mental illnesses is preferred. Experience providing life skills and employment services is preferred.
