This position is accountable for the efficient operation of all the equipment and instrumentation throughout the facility, both inside and outside of the building.

This position accomplishes the organizational objectives by insuring that all equipment and instrumentation is operating at optimal levels.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, special projects to assist the manufacture and pigmentation of mixes, hand packaging and filling. Focus will be in the area of installation, maintenance, fabrication and repair of equipment for the mixing and production departments. Assist with setup, drum changing, parts cleaning, and production.

Shift/Schedule: 1st shift 5am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have the legal right to work in this country without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with Maintenance Manager & Production Management for the purpose of completing projects and work orders/tasks efficiently
• Performs general and semi-skilled maintenance activities; preventative maintenance
• Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities; status, progress, completion of projects
• Establishes machine repair priorities
• Understands and troubleshoots machinery in production
• Responds to emergencies and works to resolve immediate concerns

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Light electrical required
• Must be team oriented.
• Ability to operate hand / power tools
• Ability to read measuring instruments
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment; repetitive work with bending, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting 25 to 75 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Adheres to safety policies & helps maintain a safe work environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
