Roberts - Hamilton is a full line residential and industrial plumbing wholesale distributor in Minnesota and a Division of Hajoca Corporation, a nationwide wholesale distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, plumbing, heating, and industrial supplies. We currently have 4 Minnesota locations and are continuing to expand.
THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Inside Sales/Counter Salesperson must truly enjoy the challenge of balancing the customer’s interests with the company’s best interest. This role is the face of the company to most customers and, thus, plays a significant role in business development. You are on the front lines, so each day you set the tone of the relationship we have with our customers.

Your role will be dynamic and is adaptable to our company and customer needs. The position is all encompassing, with all teammates contributing to order receiving, order writing, staging, and delivering. Great opportunity exists to take on more responsibilities, whether that entails taking on more operational tasks or leading in a sales position.

Counter Salespeople provide sales and support to walk-in customers at the sales counter and support Inside Sales and Outside Sales activities as needed. As a Counter Salesperson with Hajoca your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise at our location
  • Process Sales Orders generated at the counter
  • Provide customers with reliable information regarding product specifications and pricing
  • Assisting team members in servicing customers, answering phone calls, stocking merchandise and pulling orders for delivery
  • Maintaining cleanliness of counter area and ensuring merchandise displays remain stocked, current, and neat
All interested applicants must possess:
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced business environment focused on customer service.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs, provide profitable solutions, and close the sale
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
Our ideal candidate will also:
  • Have, or quickly develop, a comprehensive knowledge of product
  • Wholesale distribution experience
  • Basic computer literacy (use of mouse and keyboard, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office)
  • Possess the drive to assist team members with other tasks as required
