**Mon - Fri, 8 hours each day (8 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5:30 pm)**

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000 depending on the relevant experience.

The Institutional Giving Assistant will assist in all aspects of grant research, production and submission of proposals to support existing and planned program activities. This position will assist in prospect research; the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to public and private funding sources; and assist in collecting and reporting back the required data on the performance of program activities that have been funded from successful proposals. The Institutional Giving Assistant is responsible for maintaining updated records of prospect research, application and proposal submissions, interactions with funders, and pertinent records on the donor database (Bloomerang), on the agency shared file system (Sharepoint) and in the office

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in production of proposals and supporting documents in response to grant solicitations to funders.*
  • Research grant-making organizations and analyze them to identify likely funding sources for designated projects and programs.*
  • Write and edit grant submissions and reports exhibiting a high-level command of the English language.*
  • Assist in the process of supplying progress reports when required by funder that has awarded a project or program grant award.*
  • Manage and maintain sensitive information such as salaries, budget and the like in a confidential manner.
  • Update funder interactions on donor database Bloomerang.*
  • Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of Momentum’s programs, and use that knowledge and understanding to better comprehend all projects and programs for which grants will be sought.*
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend and participate in staff, program, agency and community meetings, as required, requested or assigned.

  • Special Requirements: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint experience. (E)
  • Possess a valid California Driver License, with access to a reliable vehicle or for driving an Agency vehicle, current proof of auto liability insurance, and a documented clean DMV. (E)
  • Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job in day-to-day performance of the duties of this position, with or without accommodation:
    • Hearing and talking on telephone and in person (over 2/3 of the workday); (E)
    • Standing, walking, sitting, pinching and finger flexion are required constantly (over 2/3 of the workday); (E)
    • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling and twisting are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday); (D)
    • Balancing, climbing and crawling are generally not required.
