Position Title: Japanese Translator

Job Summary:

Essential Duties:

• Communication support for Japanese expats and business trippers.
• Interpret between Japanese and stakeholders.
• Provide interpretation for various meetings as wells as telephone and web conferences from English and Japanese and vice versa.
• Translating technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions, and manuals when necessary from English to Japanese and vice versa.
• Compose and translate emails, reports etc.
• Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
• Proficient with proof reading and editing with using office 365 skill.
• Other duties may assign by management.
• Travel requirement as needed.

Education

• Basic: Some High School.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED.

Essential Qualifications:

• Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills.
• Japanese/ English business language skills.
• Translator / interpreter experience in a business/ technical environment, manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to translate quickly and accurately.
• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for -specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
• Simultaneous experience is also a plus
