Full Job Description

A Landscape Team Member is responsible for assisting the Landscape Supervisor in performing landscape duties. Team members should have the ability to perform whatever tasks are needed to accomplish each job according to their supervisor, whether it be landcape installation or maintenence. Team members are expected to work and act in a professional manner while representing DL Davis Lawn & Grounds.

As a Landscape Team Member at DL Davis Lawn & Grounds, it is preferred to have the ability to perform the following job duties (paid training is provided should employee not have experience with any of the duties):

• Assist Landscape Supervisor in execution of landscape maintence or installation plans as instructed by the supervisor.
• Operating equipment safely including commercial zero-turn riding mowers, walk behind mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, sod cutter, brush cutter, compactor, etc.
• Mowing, edging with string trimmer, grass cleanup
• Planting (trees, shrubs, flowers, etc.)
• Mulch and river rock application
• Small-scale hardscape installation
• Bush, hedge and ornamental grass trimming
• Flower bed installation including sod cutting
• Flower bed edging with edging spade
• Spring and fall cleanups
• Experience driving a trailer a plus
• Perform any other tasks related to lawn and landscape maintenance operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned

• Availability to work a varied schedule including weekends, as needed
• Ability to work outside in unfavorable condtions
• Basic understanding of the tools we use
• Eagerness and good attitude in performing our work

WORK CONDITIONS

Landscape Team Members should be able to drive or travel locally.
Schedules for this position can change based on weather conditions and flexibility is required. Team members will sometimes have to work in unfavorable conditions, such as hot, cold, and wet weather. Working in severely inclimate weather is not required.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license preferred

Must be able to lift and move up to 60 lbs repeatedly

High school diploma or GED, preferred

Ability to operate the equipment listed above, in addition to other commonly used landscaping equipment. Any training needs an employee may have on any equipment we use can be met. Paid training is available.
