Laundry Attendant Job Description

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Executive Housekeeper
Qualifications:
· Provide a spotless clean linen for guest rooms
· Monitor inventory supply and control related laundry cost effectively
· Demonstrate a team player attitude to ensure a smooth hotel operation
· Follow instructions of daily projects and procedures
Work Hours:
· The specific standards of this position revolve around the average time it takes to supply each guestroom with fresh clean linen. The number of hours available to laundry should be fixed each morning based on the number of rooms that will be cleaned that day. The specific hours available should be discussed with the laundry person(s) each day to help meet this standard.
Key Functions:
· Operates industrial laundry and cleaning equipment, and handles cleaning chemicals.
· Sort, load, wash, dry, and fold all linen.
· Stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen.
· Keeps all laundry equipment and room in clean and orderly condition.
· Helps stock and maintains separate floor linen/storage rooms.
· Assists in stocking carts and performing inventories.
· Sorts out stained linens for soaking and rewashing.
· Cleans dryers and filters daily.
· Keeps all chemical and cleaning supplies stocked and stored properly.
· Separates, counts and records damaged linen and place it in designated area.
· Reports all equipment problems promptly to supervisor.
· Provides assistance to other employees to contribute the smooth operations of the department and hotel.
· Acts as room attendant as requested by supervisor or general manager.
· Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor or general manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
