Valiant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Instructor, Border Law Enforcement supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) International Counterproliferation Program (ICP). ICP is a Department of Defense (DoD)-led interagency program mandated by Congress that works in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to design and conduct training, exercises, and workshops with allies and partners (primarily from the law enforcement sector). ICP’s mission is to build the sustainable capacity of allies and partners to detect, prevent, interdict, and ultimately prosecute crimes involving the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related materials through disruption of proliferation networks and pathways. The Senior Instructor serves as a lead instructor in the delivery training/development on managing screening of illicit goods transiting all borders and ports of entry into and out of countries.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as a lead instructor in the delivery training/development on managing screening of illicit goods transiting all borders and ports of entry into and out of countries.
• Enhances students understanding managing investigations of violations related to processing illicit goods transiting all types of border areas and ports of entry.
• Conducts formal classroom courses, workshops, seminars, and computer‐based training.
• Manages teaching assignments, development and delivery of course materials, and lessons learned for each respective ICP event.
• Incorporates best practices, effective adult learning techniques, and lessons learned from previous events into the curriculum.
• Performs quality assurance examination of materials for grammar, syntax, and formatting.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in border control and/or port of entry enforcement, of which a minimum of 5 years of specialized
  experience in the delivery of training instruction and services.
• Experience in WMD counterproliferation training.
• Experience developing and delivering curriculum, training, and senior-level workshops.
• Experience Working with international partners to build interagency capabilities to detect, deter, and interdict weapons of mass destruction and other illicit goods.
• Experience in interagency law enforcement bodies, activities, and
  responsibilities.
• Experience working with DTRA, FBI, DHS, DOE, and other USG agencies.
• Be a US citizen and eligible for a Secret level clearance.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to foreign locations, possess a current valid U.S. Passport and adhere to CDC health guidelines.
• Travel 25-40%

DESIRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in the development of border security and counter-WMD programs for
  international partners.
• Previous experience working with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
• Currently possess a Secret level clearance.
