Learning and Development Trainer

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired, and mission-driven Learning and Development Trainer/Commercial Fleet Technical Trainer to join our growing team!

Requirements:

· 3+ years’ experience with light to heavy-duty vehicles and/or fleet maintenance

· Knowledge of the automotive repair industry and terminology

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Willingness to travel as needed (25-50%)

· Prior management experience is a plus, but not required

Job Summary: At Amerit Fleet Solutions, people are our number one asset. Amerit’s Learning and Development department strives to meet teammates where they are by providing comprehensive, engaging, and purposeful training that allows each teammate to grow and achieve more. The Automotive Technical Trainer will complement the department by acting as a subject matter expert and working with instructional designers to create online, and possibly in-person training. The ideal candidate should be a lifelong learner who can explain automotive concepts in depth when needed but can also be concise when asked. In addition, this person should be tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new programs to create engaging training experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses professional expertise to help plan and/or build training that can be delivered in a variety of mediums, including online, classroom, and virtual.
  • Possess a willing eagerness to provide direct instruction to small/large groups including hands-on demonstrations.
  • Can create written training materials including process maps, workbooks, or one-pagers.
  • Works to simplify complex ideas and processes.
  • Aims to standardize practices to maximize efficiency and reinforce The Amerit Way.
  • Monitors and evaluates trends within the market/segment to ensure adequate training resources are in place.
  • Provides support and mentoring for new employees while evaluating and identifying areas where improvement is needed.
