1st Shift - Monday - Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm


About the role:

Responsibilities that include data analysis and identification of process improvement. The role will span all operations on site and will give the successful candidate a very good understanding of all aspects of the operation Projects will incorporate lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods-Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement philosophies.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the analyzing, designing, and implementation of manufacturing and business process improvement, resulting in increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduction in the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency.
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and maintenance of effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieved.
  • Participates in multiple facets groups across the organization including manufacturing, design, supplier development, and documentation.
  • Create strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure project success.
  • Makes recommendations to design teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products.

Required qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience
  • Associates in Arts degree/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally to all members of Boston Scientific staff: Both with the direct team members and cross functional team, as well as the ability to communicate with engineers and leadership
  • Brings and instills a positive work environment on the 1st shift team
  • Able to understand the daily strategy and Comfortable making decisions on the production on the floor within the confines of that strategy.
  • Able to escalate issues using the correct channels.
  • Competent and Flexible trainer – Able to learn and work the complete production line if needed. If no other issues are present on the floor, LFF immediately starts working
  • Daily, have a professional reaction to coaching events and listen to and follow the guidance
  • Daily, engage in professional conversations with leadership and support decisions, even if they are not popular
  • Set an example of what is expected on the production floor, including holding yourself and trainers accountable for safety and quality
  • Able to effectively escalate issues on the production floor in a timely manner
  • Listens and follows directions from Supervisor/ Manager team
  • Able to bring a team together to drive towards
  • Lead by example by following BSC policy and Supervisor direction
  • Able to speak to team in a professional manner
  • Escalate any call in’s, absenteeism’s, and/or MDS’s late to the floor (not at station working at 5:30am) to Supervisor
  • Verify needed supplies are on the floor and if not order the supplies that are needed (ex. Detergent, Cassettes, Clips, RFID Tags, etc…)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • LFF does a quick floor walk each hour, verifying there are no issues and people are staying on task
