EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a minimum BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Some work experience in complex manufacturing process time and documentation is required. Management and interpersonal skills are necessary. Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements very desirable.
Must be familiar with standard Lean concepts, practices, and tools. Ability in planning and designing lean manufacturing work cells and processes in accordance to Interplex Business Systems (IBS).
Very strong ability to evaluate & monitor any process stage status with process capability study. Develop an efficient set of work instructions and procedures for the inspection, verification, validation, and production processes. Experienced development quality & risk analysis using tools FMEA and optimizing the control plan for process.
Weekly evaluation of the highest losses and arrange weekly improvement meeting where we discuss each category status and improvements action plans.
Work closely with the NPI Team in APQP process and specific documentation developments for process stability & validation and hand off to manufacturing.
Assist in the Quality Manual System including documentation, testing and inspection, product and process development, and non-conforming product investigations (8D reports).
This position requires advanced skills and proficiency in the use of various software (e.g. Minitab, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel- Formulae like V look-up, H look up, Pivot table, Charts etc), AutoCAD)
Knowledge and ability to implement and maintain manufacturing / management practice eg. TQM, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, ISO, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3 Audits, Q14 practices, Kaizen, statistics, RPFMEA, Lesson Learn / Read Across, Run @ Rate, DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, NPI, CAPA, 5Why’s, Value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, Cost Analysis, Risk Management ,& Capacity studies. Strong knowledge of basic metrology required.
Self motivated with ability to manage workload under pressure. Forward thinker/ planner- able to monitor organization Continuous Improvement process.
Team contributor within internal and external auditing process ability. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Automotive product experience very helpful.

- QAM KPI’s
- Kaizen events and Kaizen improvements
- Implementation of Lean concepts utilizing Interplex Business Systems (IBS)
- KPI actions, Fast Response utilizing A3 Problem solving
- Validated the process and performed the risk assessment, implemented lean tools to reduce the wastes and improve the value stream process.
- Process Rejected parts (molding & Stamping)
- Automation Testing Rejected parts & Root Cause Analysis.
