Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

  • This position has been created to support the QRC with safety, quality, continuous improvement, and production requirements.
  • Act as site SHEA coordinator (Safety, Health, Environmental Affairs) ensuring that corporate programs are driven to provide continuous improvement in fire prevention, safety and environmental performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of safety, quality, cost reduction and throughput.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to quality, machining and assembly, including support in the resolution of non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Participate and direct capital expenditure projects, machine tool purchases, plant layout and supporting key projects that help drive the business.
  • Support manufacturing managers and shop leads with tooling and fixturing requirements including design and manufacture as well as working with outside vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between design engineering and manufacturing team on projects related to cost reduction, process improvement and new product development.
  • Work closely with manufacturing manager to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.

Core Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a heavy machinery environment.
  • Basic Knowledge of safety, health and environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge / understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, CNC, welding, inspection, assembly.
  • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Must be a self-motivated contributing team member
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD (Inventor, Solidworks, ect), Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
