This position is in Repligen’s Affinity Ligands & ELISA groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the team’s performance and results at our Waltham & Hopkinton Facility. Applicant is expected to contribute and carry out operational policies and strategies to enhance communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Applicants must have strong technical knowledge and team building skills. Candidates must be willing and able to learn new manufacturing processes as the company grows. The team this position will support covers a 5-day/24-hour schedule. The hours for this role are very flexible. Conversely, schedule flexibility is required to ensure all shifts get leadership exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the 2nd and 3rd shift team (includes 24 hour, 5 day/week operation)
• Maintain a safe working environment, own safety improvements, and follow all site safety procedures
• Manage multiple schedules and tasks for consistent on time delivery.
• Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Make/influence important policy, planning, organizational and strategy decisions
• Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures
• Assist in developing, monitoring and adhering to key performance metrics that drive visibility, engagement and ownership
• Enforce team objectives, monitor performance and promoting development plans
• Partner with Human Resources on all aspects of employee engagement and development
• Identify and own process improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with stake stakeholders to minimize the number and depth of manufacturing interruptions
• Participate in project teams to develop, transfer, and scale up new manufacturing processes
• Serve as a liaison between manufacturing and leadership teams
• Writes, revises, and maintains SOPs, and batch records in accordance with Repligen policies
• Support PM schedules, and coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained as required
• Reviews batch records for accuracy and on time. Reports deviations to Quality Assurance
• Participates in the development and implementation of Corrective Actions
• Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to maximize revenue while optimizing margins

Qualifications:

Must Have

• Requires a BS in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline
• of progressive management experience in the Biotech industry managing multiple direct reports
• Demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to build consensus and relationships among partners and team
• Experience in working within ISO9001 and/or GMP documentation
• Understanding of ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated strong and professional judgment
• Demonstrated organizational skills and adaptability
• Must be able to support 2 facilities

Nice to Have

• Experience leading multiple teams in a 24 hour environment
• Experience in LEAN manufacturing and 6 sigma a plus
• Experience in Biotech field
• Clean room experience (gowning, monitoring, etc.)
• Experience within a fast growing and rapidly changing business environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
