An aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Technician who will fabricate composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming, and final finishing.

Position: Manufacturing Technician
Pay Rate: $16/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Manufacturing Technician, you work on the next generation of composite structures.

  • This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming, and final finishing. It will require the development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce products that meet our customers' expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individually based.
  • Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in Aerospace or manufacturing and production
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work including: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working overhead
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Composite experience and/or certification
  • Aerospace assembly
  • Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, and operating procedures
