Considerable investment is being made to make this facility a prime location on the Chesapeake Bay to have vessels maintained and serviced to the highest industry standards, supported by key functionality including:

• 24/7 fueling facility
• Brand New 75t Boat Lift and 40t Hydraulic Trailer (Arriving January 2024)
• Redesign of Service Facility to accommodate vessel up to 90’ long and 30ft wide

Reporting to the Service Manager, your key tasks will consist of but not limited to:

• Safe and efficient operation of forklifts, travel lifts and associated hardstand equipment.
• Ensuring that lifting, standing and launching works are completed safely and in line with expected time constraints.
• Working closely with team members to achieve safe and efficient daily yard operations
• Greet customers arriving in the boat yard, provide a positive customer service experience for every customer associated with the facility, and assist customers with their vessel needs
• Perform pressure washing duties upon vessels being removed from the water as needed
• Conduct daily trash collection for entire property
• Performing facility cleaning activities as needed in the haul out bay area
• Help in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the facility
• Provide spotter help when requested by the travel lift and forklift operators
• Assist the travel lift and forklift drivers with the trailer load/unload actions
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screen.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and attitude.
• Other tasks as needed and required.
• Ensuring maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure optimum working condition.
• Making sure that routine maintenance of vessels is completed to schedule and to industry standard.
• Daily meetings with facility management to detail activities and following day schedules.

The ideal person we seek would have:

• Marine industry experience, including Travel Lift operations (preferred but not essential as training is provided)
• Ability to follow Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training, wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area and report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
• A forklift & current boat license is preferred but not essential.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Car license is essential.
• Citizenship or Current Employee Work Authorization Document

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
