A Multiaxis Mastercam Programmer must embody the following:

Have a full working knowledge of Mastercam Multiaxis and 2D/3D toolpaths. Program new, complex aerospace and defense parts complete to customer specifications and output toolists, setup information and G-Code programs. Edit existing programs for updated revisions and process improvements. Have extensive knowledge of aerospace materials and machining processes. Must be able to work on their own and ambition to continually improve.

The following are essential functions of the job, including but not limited to:

• Full working knowledge of machining techniques and tools
• Practice modern day cutting conditions
• Read and understand manufacturing planning notes
• Complete understanding of customer and part requirements(GD&T, customer specific requirements, etc.)
• Specific knowledge of materials, cutting tools, workholding, chip control, process definition.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members on manufacturing processes.
• Utilize and implement new workholding, tool paths, cutting tools to reduce cycle times and improve product quality.
• Knowledge and competency with Mastercam to the extent that all features and details will be accounted for in a manufacturing process.
• Update tool list page for each manufacturing operation.
• Add tools to Proshop and Mastercam tool databases
• Preferably several years training in machining and other process execution

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years machining experience
• Minimum 5 years programming experience

• Doosan 5 axis mills
• Strong math skills
• Effective communicator
• Good with computers and technology
• Self sufficient and eager to improve
• Understands the importance of outputting quality work in a timely manner

• More than 10 years of experience
• Ability to estimate programming time
• Proficient in Proshop ERP
• CAMplete experience
• Train and develop new 3 axis programmers
