Indmar Marine Engines is seeking a dependable, experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely and accurately loading, unloading and moving engines and other materials throughout the facility. ***Candidate must have a history of good attendance and understand the importance of punctuality and good communication.*** Work hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Eligible for a $40.00 weekly attendance bonus. A full list of duties is below:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operates a sit-down forklift to load, unload and move material around the facility.

2. Supports production line by staging engine blocks and transmissions to appropriate areas for prebuild, washing, pre-production staging and production.

3. Supports stockroom by refilling bulk location on the production line (i.e. alternators, manifolds and other large containers.)

4. Removes engine blocks from trailer and places in correct area of storage warehouse and reloads trailers with empty engine racks and/or dunnage for return to vendor.

5. Loads engine onto trailers according to OEM orders and fill out shipping information.

6. Stacks engines for the overseas container and makes sure it is properly loaded.

7. Assemble pallets and build crates for service engines.

8. Assist receiving when needed to unload freight.

9. Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse.

10. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Must be able to safety operator a sit-down forklift.
2. Must be able to read customer orders and pull correct product.
3. Must be able to understand job orders and production schedule to supply correct components in the correct sequence to the production line.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

1. High School graduate or GED.

2. A minimum of two year’s operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.

3. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desired.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment is generally in a warehouse setting which may or may not be heated/air conditioned. Some exposure to the outside elements on occasion.
