Job Summary:

Come join our KANDU Meals Program! We provide the Meals on Wheels program to numerous people and families in the Janesville area. While the diversity of this program spreads from services to operations, this program is strongly supported by resources from the community. The KANDU Meals on Wheels program is committed to supporting healthier and more nourished lives throughout the community.

Looking to train people immediately for part-time work. We are looking for energetic individuals to deliver meals to various locations. As a Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver, you will deliver meals prepared in KANDU’s kitchen to their correct locations. These deliveries will be made using a company vehicle. This is a fast-paced environment that provides excitement and pride in knowing you are making a difference in your community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct and maintain inventory checks of equipment.
• Perform lifting, loading, and handling of equipment.
• Drive to off-premises locations in a timely and safe manner.
• Adhere to all KANDU, CDC guidelines, and all health department policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel and equipment.
• Mange route books with accurate delivery information; adjust as needed.
• Assist the Kitchen Manager as necessary.
• Participate in in-service training and attend required meetings.
• Support the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of KANDU Industries.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds in a safe way.
• Be able to train easily, and quickly.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Be able to work in a team and individually with little supervision.
• Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
• Be able to read maps, directions, layouts, drawings, and verbal and written directions.
• Previous food or delivery experience is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

• Effective communication.
• High school or equivalent.
• Strong ability to solve problems and implement solutions.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Part-time

Company vehicle provided.

Hours: Monday – Friday; 7:30 AM – 11 AM

Pay: $15.00 per hour
