Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1-2 years of Medical Surgical experience for a temporary TRAVEL position in Kerrville, Texas. The ideal candidate will hold a Texas or Compact license and have received the COVID-19 vaccine (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only). The flu vaccine qualification is unknown at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide quality patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and assess patient condition, report changes to physician
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare needs, conditions, and treatments
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or Compact state
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to work night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
