Medical Asst Job at Edward-Elmhurst Health
General Summary:
Under general supervision of clinic nurse, and following established procedures, prepares patients for physical examination, obtains specimens, conducts select routine laboratory tests and records results, performs phlebotomy. Performs clerical duties as needed.
Location: Bolingbrook
Hours: Full time; 6:45am-6:00pm; every 4th Saturday 7:30-12:00p
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association for healthcare providers or, in case of practice acquisition, certification must be obtained within three months of hire date
Preferred:
- 3 years clinical experience
- Exposure/prior experience in Occupational Health
- Successful completion of a school that is accredited by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Obtain certification within one year of hire.
