Ripple Effects Autism Learning Center, LLC uses the natural environment to provide nurturing, individualized and evidence-based ABA services to young children with autism and their families in an effort to increase learning trajectories, fade out specialized services and transition to traditional schools and social environments. We primarily serve children 18 months – 6 years of age at our centers between the hours of 9am and 4pm.

Job Description

The Medical Billing Specialist will report directly to the Office Manager.

● Ability to work at least 15 hours per week

● Training is provided in the office at our Sturgis location

● After the training period, schedule can be flexible including ability to work from home

● Potential for full-time with benefits as the company continues to grow

Requirements:

● Must be knowledgeable and committed to patient privacy (HIPAA)

● Must be detailed oriented

● Must enjoy working with numbers

● Must take pride in completing work without errors

● Must be 18+ years old and able to pass extensive background checks

● Self-motivated, good time management skills and performs well with deadlines.

● Able to work independently with minimal supervision

● Have a professional demeanor, be well-organized, and pay attention to detail

● Maintains professional boundaries and work well under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, reviews, and submits accurate billings to Community Mental Health Centers.
• Monitor and resolve financial discrepancies
• Follow set billing processes and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and the company’s ethics policies

Education:

• Billing/Coding Certification: Preferred but not a requirement

Experience:

• Data Entry
• Medical Billing preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Sturgis, MI 49091: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
