Harris Health is looking for an experienced Medical Lab Technician to join our Laboratory at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital
About the Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician at Harris Health System will perform moderate and select high complexity tests on clinical laboratory specimens in various laboratory sections. You will need to validate and report the results of the tests performed in addition to performing and documenting Quality Control. The Medical Lab Tech also performs instrument and equipment maintenance according to policy and procedures as well as ensures the lab maintains adequate stock of reagents and supplies.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- Must be certified by ASCP or equivalent Board within one year
- One of the following from the ASCP, NCA, or AMT within one year of hire:
- Medical Technology Certification
- Clinical Laboratory Science Certification
- Biology, Chemistry, or Physics Medical Lab Technician Certification
