Summary:

The employee will perform Metal Detector/Crater functions and ensures efficiency & compliance the team’s duties and responsibilities. Other duties may apply. The Metal Detector/Crater position ensures finished packaged meals coming off the production line meet all standards and requirements and are maintained in an organized manner when staged for movement to the Fulfillment department.

All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety.

Essential Duties:

• Operate metal detecting machine.
• Run all finished products through.
• Keep and maintain compliance logs.
• Crate meals and move to fulfillment.
• Help production line portion meals when necessary.
• Perform quality checks including labels, seals, net weights.
• Maintain weight and seal verification documentation logs.
• Maintain product counts to ensure production runs are completed to correct quantities.
• Communicate meal counts with line leads to control overproduction.
• Ensure all product is screened by x-ray/metal detectors.
• Apply labels to finished packaged goods according to standards.
• Load finished packaged goods into crates, complete and apply crate labels.
• Maintain finished product stacks of crates in the staging area in organized manner.
• Ensure equipment and work area is maintained in a clean sanitary manner.

Work Environment:

While performing duties, the employee will work in a cold room food production environment.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach. Lift/push and pull up to 50 lbs. Work in cold/hot environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Standard days and schedules are usually Sunday-Saturday.
