Florida Atlantic University is seeking a MRI Technologist - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Performs MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with university standards and protocols.

Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains participant confidentiality.

Cooperates with facility professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures. Complies with all safety policies and regulations.

Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health, emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.

Maintains current permits to practice in all states in which services are performed.

Performs additional duties as required. Completes and signs participant screening form and explains the procedure to the participants.

Maintains participant care, comfort, and safety during transport during the scan.

Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in sponsored training programs.

Cooperates with the MRI center personnel and complies with the facility policies and procedures.

Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members in the event of equipment problems.

May assist with the set up and teardown of equipment in accordance with University and/or manufacturer’s guidelines.

Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the facility.

Completes necessary administrative tasks. e.g.: Time, reports, quality, assurance, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and five years of appropriate experience required.
Must be certified by the State of Florida as a General Radiographer.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience

Salary:
$70,000 - $85,000 per year.

Work Days and Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with the ability to work flexible hours as needed. Some nights and weekends as needed.
