We are looking for an independent advisor for the non-executive director role to our company that would be a member of the company’s board of directors. We are looking for someone who will add value by providing a broad perspective of the company’s issues and protecting the interests of shareholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that the Board of Directors establishes clear objectives and delivers agreed plans
  • Regularly review performance against these objectives
  • Encouraging the best use of financial resources
  • Supporting and challenging the leadership team to ensure that the Board of Directors conforms to the highest standards of corporate governance and makes appropriate decisions
  • Challenging executive directors about the decisions that they make. This includes having the strength to bring a new perspective to discussions
  • Bringing an independent perspective to the board of a company
  • Scrutinising how the management team performs against organisational objectives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Industry experience (although not limited to HFT/prop/HF)
  • Ability to make introductions through different parts of the industry (VC, early-stage projects etc.)
  • Ability to help in strategy development within a company through positive criticism, external experience, and expertise
  • Ability to oversee the activity of executive partners
  • Ability to make sure that the responsibilities towards stakeholders are consistently fulfilled
  • Possessing good judgement, intellect, diplomacy, assertiveness
  • Possessing business & Finance acumen
  • Experience with talent acquisition, remote culture, risk management, and working for a global company
