We are contracted with the CDC to assist with increasing access to COVID-19 testing (ICATT) in the communities across the country that need it most. We are currently seeking a motivated clinician in the El Paso, TX area who is focused on patient care and serving their community. Th is clinician will work under the direction of LTS Management and Clinical Lead to deliver safe and effective COVID-19 testing for unaccompanied minors at U.S. Customs and Border Protection sites in the region.

Under the direction of LTS Management, the Traveling Clinical Health Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all assigned COVID-19 test collection locations to include providing onsite clinical quality assurance, onsite evaluations of clinical processes, and adherence to all safety standards and protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• ~20 % regional travel required
• Oversee training of all COVID-19 Testing site staff
• Ensure all staff are trained in accordance to companywide standardized clinical training protocols for success of multiple COVID-19 test collection sites
• Work with Operation Manager to implement periodic training as directed
• Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all testing protocols for both PCR and Antigen testing
• Responsible for providing support, in conjunction with the Directors of Operations, to multiple ICATT COVID-19 Testing Collection Sites to ensure their success
• Work closely with LTS Site Operations Management to modify clinical standard operating procedures and quick reference guides tailored to each ICATT Site
• Review all clinical incident reports
• Oversee proper procedures of disposal of hazardous waste materials
• Perform daily check in with operations team
• Will provide patient care from registration, screening, triaging, administration of COVID testing, documentation, and monitoring
• Responsible to review COVID positive results for employees
• Perform weekly reporting to leadership  on clinical updates
• Perform periodic announced and unannounced site vis its to sites across the ICATT Testing Sites to ensure compliance with all testing protocols
• Perform routine evaluations of clinical staff with completion of required documentation
• Ensure that all Shift Leads create a safe and clean working environment by complying with all company procedures, rules, and regulations
• Recommend processes to protect patients and employees and ensure that all staff adhere to infection control policies and protocols
• Ensure that all Shift Leads are appropriately Quality Checking all testing materials
• Maintain continuity among clinical staff by documenting actions and irregularities
• Oversee reporting of all test results at manned ICATT sites
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among clinical staff by communicating information and participating in team problem solving methods
• Responsible for weekly reporting to Leadership
• Participate in Senior Management Meetings
• Identify and address challenges and opportunities. Troubleshoot issues with senior management team
• Assess aptitude of project staff, in collaboration with Director of Operations, Night Shift Supervisor , and Workforce Manager

Additional Duties and Responsibilities, specific to success of COVID-19 test site operations:

The Clinical Health Specialist will be provided appropriate training and safety protocols, and must be willing to:

• Interact with potentially COVID-positive patients (while wearing required PPE for safety)
• Wear a KN-95 mask while onsite at test locations  for prolonged periods of time
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Understand proper procedures for administration of anterior nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing
• Collaborate with healthcare team while providing care
• Adherence to testing protocols
• Display command of medical terminology and infection control
• Produce project deliverables as assigned
• Must abide by all LTS PPE and safety protocols
• Other duties as assigned by senior leadership
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays , and on-call duty

Required Skills , Licensure, & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 10 + years of experience
• Master’s degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Public Health preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills, to include managing multiple teams and projects at once
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience with coaching/building teams desired
• Active Driver’s License
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
• Ability to pass background check

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work inside and outside for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform job duties while, sitting, standing, squat, bend at the waist, kneel and walking for extended period of time .
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15- 20lbs., reach in all directions, and unassisted. Ability to use lifting motion over and below waist from 15lbs-20 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to use vision or corrective vision to determine depth perception and to discriminate between color coated objects.
• Ability to perform gross motor functions, fine motor functions and maintain olfactory sensory functions.
• Ability to work in latex safe environment.
• Ability to be qualified using medical evaluations and physicals for adequate passing for respirator use.
• May be exposed to infectious diseases and occupational dangers such as needle pricks and outdoor inclement weather.
