- Job Scope:
- To safely and efficiently perform the general manual labor tasks throughout the rig under the supervision of the Crane Operator. This includes, but is not limited to, offloading and backloading of supply vessels, maintenance, clean up, housekeeping, chipping and painting of the rig, the movement and relocation of supplies, groceries and equipment of the rig, simple maintenance and repairs to the plumbing and sewer systems, working in the chemical sack room, as well as providing relief workers for the drill floor crew and assistance to the Welder, Mechanic, Electrician, Driller or Derrickhand as directed to do so by the Crane Operator.

- $17.00-$18.00 (Based on Experience)

- Required Skills:
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions closely
- Attention to detail
- Alertness
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane operations
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Align, level, and anchor machinery.
- Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
- Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
- Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
- Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
- Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets.
- Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
- Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
- Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
- Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.
- Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
- Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
- Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
- Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
