Responsibilities:

• Managing the freight chain from customers request to delivery in an efficient and cost effective manner
• Managing a high level of email volume
• Oversee a fleet of drivers based out of DFW area to ensure timely pickup and delivery requirements set by customers
• Ensure the fleet of drivers are following Pinch and DOT rules and regulations
• Ensuring drivers are trained on proper OS&D procedures, communication and Pinch operations requirements
• Taking orders from customers via email and phone, negotiating competitive rates, providing proper documentation and ensuring delivery schedules within an expedited time-frame
• Loading/Unloading freight with forklift onto corresponding flatbed trailers and from Intermodal Containers
• Expediting as necessary to ensure customers transportation requirements are taken care of
• Determining the best way to ship, negotiating rates and providing all the necessary documentation
• Adequate knowledge of piecing together cargo on a flatbed trailer, setting up permits and equipment necessary to haul the customer’s cargo
• Trucking Software experience a plus

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3-years full-time work experience; college degree preferred
• Trucking Operations Software experience preferred
• Prior Understanding of Flatbed and Intermodal trucking operations
• 1+ years truck dispatching experience preferred
• Ability to deal with a sporadic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic, solid negotiation and conflict-management skills
• Sufficient typing skills
