- POSITION SUMMARY
- This position is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to achieve food service excellence within the Patient Services. This position is accountable for communicating instructions, directing other employees, inspecting and tasting food products, making recommendations to Food Production Manager for improvement. This position will record and post patient meal satisfaction results, monitor tray line, temperatures and food quality. The incumbent will have a high degree of visibility and contact with food production staff, hospital employees, physicians, dietitians, visitors and patients. The primary focus is to archive and continuously improve performance in patient satisfaction through assessment, design, delivery, monitoring and coaching of Service FIRST and department standards. Will create positive work team relationships that will provide the highest quality of nutritional service to our patients. The incumbent is accountable for all aspects of food service to patients and must demonstrate the ability to work with patients physical, motor/sensory adaptation, cognitive and psychological needs specific to populations served (i.e. children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients) and meet standards of quality as measured by the department age specific competency standards. Will demonstrate an understanding of all patient populations served.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Registered dietetic technician (DTR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or will obtain within 18 months of hire. Will also obtain Serve Safe certification or completion within 6 months of hire. Experience may be considered in lieu of credential.

- Educational Requirements
- HS diploma or greater preferred
- Must be able to read and write and follow oral and written directions accurately

- Experience Requirements
- Healthcare experience is preferred
- Experience in Diet Systems Software Management preferred
- Supervisory/management experience is required
- Healthcare experience is preferred

- Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
