Performance Improvement Specialist – Trauma Program
As a Performance Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving programs to establish and maintain Quality and Patient Safety standards of existing products and services, as well as developing programs to focus on the care provided to injured patients. You will guide the participation of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Level II Adult Trauma Center’s Trauma Program in the implementation of the Hospital’s quality program by collaborating and facilitating with departmental leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement (PI). Work closely with the Director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Registry staff to develop and coordinate performance improvement collaborative initiatives, using clinical and outcome data related to trauma management and PI. Developing interdepartmental relationships and analytical skills are key to the being successful in the position. Be the face of efficient and effective performance improvement and help make a life-changing difference in the Trauma Program and the lives of injured patients.
This is a full-time, hybrid day shift position requiring both remote and onsite work. Located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
- Previous experience in Quality and Performance Improvement
- Master's degree in a related field
- Previous clinical experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare related position
- Knowledge of quality and performance improvement methods
- Strong analytical and effective communication skills
- Strong team building ability: effectively able to motivate, engage and encourage team participation.
- Superior knowledge of Medical Terminology
