At American Products, Inc. (API), we manufacture architectural metal products locally from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. These products include, but are not limited to the following: Storefronts, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, ACM panel systems, Brake metal, Awnings, Roof screens, and handrails

Some of the largest national chains in the country are our customers, Chipotle, Outback, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Panera, Wawa, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, etc. as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.

We are seeking an experienced powder coater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in powder coating and or mil spec painting and / or prep work for powder coating.

Powder Coat Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Locate, deliver and load the correct powder coating for each powder set up.

• Set up and adjust powder handgun to apply coating

• Inspect the parts to ensure they are ready for powder coating.

• Under the direction of the Production Line Manager, apply powder paint consistently where instructed.

• Inspecting the parts for quality of finish and informing the Production Line Manager for any potential issues

• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Weighing, labeling and returning useable powder to storage or for proper disposal.

• Performing other duties as assigned or directed by the Production Line Supervisor.

• Training other employees

Powder Coater Requirements:

• Must be able to dismantle, clean, inspect, and determine production readiness of all equipment.

• Must be able to replace high maintenance items as necessary.

• Must be able to handle all powder coating with a minimum of loss (scrap).

• Must be able to produce a high-quality painted part

• Must be able to adequately keep up with the pace of the production line.
