Summary
To provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. Hours of availability will be determined by Center need as assigned by the Director. The hours of the Center are 5:15 am to 6:30 pm.
Duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To offer a program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs of both the individual and the group.
2. To interact with the children and to encourage their involvement in activities.
3. To prepare a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing and permits the child to grow and explore.
4. To plan age appropriate weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline.
5. To establish and maintain good communications with parents.
6. To observe, record and report significant individual and group behavior.
7. To use appropriate and positive discipline as well as insure discipline that is consistent.
8. To practice center policies, state regulations, and NAEYC standards.
9. To keep Directors informed of classroom goals and developments both with children and parents.
10. To attend staff meetings and meet the state continuing education requirements.
11. To supervise, train and evaluate student teachers.
12. Arrive at work ten minutes early so you can sign in and get situated so you are ready to teach by your scheduled time.
13. Obtain an excellent attendance record! Remember child care has to follow child to teacher ratios. It is important that you are here consistently for the center and the children!!
Requirements
The teacher must be able to meet the qualifications required for state licensing (refer to Wisconsin Administrative Code DCF 251) or has applied for and received a special exception from the State of Wisconsin and has met the USDA regulation requirements. The teacher must have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood or a BA in Early Education.

1. Beginning on the first day of the 3rd month-per- Personnel Policy:
Flex Award: $300.00 monthly employee award to use toward a benefit or to be received as cash. $150.00 for part time working 17 1/2 hours to 29 hrs. 59 minutes.

3. Opportunity to enroll in our Insurance plan. (Employee pays cost or may apply $300.00 or $150.00 per month employee award towards this benefit.)
4. Flexible Benefit Plan.
5. Beginning after a 6 month successful introductory time-per Personnel Policy: Optional Days: 5 to 17 days per year according to Center Policy. Days may be used for illness, vacation or personal days.
6. 5 PTO days per year.
7. Continuing Education fee up to $100.00 year.
8. One-time only-Physical exam and payment up to $55.00
9. Flu Shot $25.00
10. Hepatitis B vaccine offered.
11. Free Meals on site.
