Principal Engineers, Systems Architecture to work within T-Mobile’s Core Network Services team as cross-functional and technical engineer that develops and documents system designs for Service Delivery and Identity Management ecosystems and leads the implementation of those designs into T-Mobile’s lab and production enterprise networks.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and integrate new Identity and Access Management-related projects into the T-Mobile network based on ECE (Ericsson Composition Engine) and MSDP (Multi Service Delivery Platform.

  • Drive efforts to collect requirements for delivery ecosystems and service platforms with business, design, development, and operations teams.

  • Interpret Business and Marketing requirements to architect design requirements and drive development for technology introductions which requires technical knowledge of Web Service (HTTP/REST/JSON), Oracle databases (OUD, RAC), and Network F5 LTM/GTM

  • Drive the RFI/RFP process and vendor evaluations, development of service platform standards, and testing of vendor solutions in the lab. Lead technical discussions and make recommendations for key service technology initiatives.

  • Apply experience designing, implementing and supporting core network exposure capabilities using a service delivery gateway for messaging, location, and payments and southbound systems including GMLC and SMSC;

  • Develop detailed design specifications and plans including implementation, testing, and back out procedures for service technology deployments, upgrades, and modifications.

  • Develop detailed SOA (service-oriented architecture) design specifications based on solution experience leveraging OAuth, REST, LDAP, SMPP technologies for implementation, testing, and back out procedures for service technology deployments, upgrades, and modifications.

  • Apply experience working with standard web representation, authentication, and authorization based on experience with OAuth, OpenID, and associated security protocols.

  • Apply knowledge and understanding of common Transport and HTTP(S) protocols including TCP/IP, REST, SOAP/XML, SMPP, LDAP, SQL .

  • Identify opportunities within the on-boarding process and prepare transition documentation.

  • Coordinate and lead FOA and SOA activities for Service Brokering initiatives.

  • Evaluate new and emerging platform technologies that will serve as business enablers or drive revenue leveraging existing enablers

  • Manage suppliers and conduct vendor product comparison, analysis, and recommendation.

Functional and Technical Skills:

Applicant’s experience must include:

  • Design, implement and support a mobile identity and consent management platform based on knowledge of ECE and MSDP;

Minimum education and experience requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related field or its equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related field or its equivalent and 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Salary: Washington Pay: $168,709.00 to $202,400.00.

  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
