Product Manager – HIL
VI-grade

Purpose
The overall purpose of this role is to lead and ensure the success of the VI-grade Hardware-in-the-
Loop (HIL) solutions through providing extraordinary value to users and customers and helping
them to achieve their vision.

Employment Function Summary
The core functions of this role are to understand market needs for HIL applications, especially with
regards to HIL used in the context of driving simulators and simulation. You will develop the vision
and roadmap, work with the VI-grade technical and sales teams, Concurrent Real-Time technical
team, partners and suppliers to provide valuable, needed solutions to our customers, and meet the
business goals for VI-grade HIL.

Main Tasks

• Understand customer and market problems and needs through direct interaction for HIL

• Assess and understand the competitive landscape
• Develop the vision, messaging and roadmap for the VI-grade HIL products and solutions
• Support the business plan development related to the VI-grade HIL solutions
• Develop and manage partner relationships related to VI-Grade HIL solutions
• Manage pricing for HIL solutions and products
• Manage the product lifecycle
• Translate customer needs and market problems into Epics, Features and User Stories for

and demonstration data, and a central source for all sales and marketing material and
literature

• Ensure marketing materials embody and convey the vision and messaging of the VI-grade

• Own the customer journey and customer experience

• BS (MS preferred) in engineering, scientific, computer science or technical field
• 5 years’ experience in hardware-in-the-loop systems and applications, or related fields
• Familiar with ECU programming, ADAS and EV technology
• Familiarity with HiL technology components, including ECU, EtherCat, Flexray, CAN, CAN

VI-grade Hardware-in-the-loop
VI-grade is uniquely positioned to offer hard-real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulators, especially
when used in conjunction with real-time driver-in-the-loop driving simulators. VI-grade HIL solutions
are based on the AutoHawk platform, powered by Concurrent Real-Time. AutoHawk consists of
real-time hardware, real-time OS, real-time software and I/O cards and is highly configurable using
VI-grade real-time software and/or 3rd party software. AutoHawk is a flexible HiL platform that can
be used across the entire product development cycle, from concept to sign-off.
