Requirements:

Summary:

The Runner creates a steady workflow by ensuring every line is constantly re-stocked and prepped for their daily production/meals as well as making sure there is steady communication between departments (Kitchen, Production, Fulfillment and QA). The Runner will make sure departments are following organizational and safety procedures put in place by upper management.

All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety.


Essential Duties:

The Runner will work closely with department heads from all three departments to make sure all processes are understood and followed.

The main focus of the Runner will be between the Kitchen, Production, Fulfillment and QA/FS. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Knows how to read a recipe card and can identify the different components of the meal.
  • Knows how to pull laned meals from WIP.
  • Knows how to build a meal according to batch instructions.
  • Proper distribution of product to ensure minimum amount of shortages.
  • Communicates with leads and follow directions to ensure there is no overproduction.
  • Maintains a steady work flow.
  • Maintaining the sauce area clean and organized.
  • Maintaining the overstock product – moving over disposables to disposable areas and working with the coordinator to find out what can be re-purposed or used on a meal.
  • Ensure equipment and work area is maintained in a clean sanitary manner.
  • Coordinating movement of meals from kitchen to the production area and placing them in the correct location.
  • Must have knowledge of kitchen production and assembly line.
  • Ensuring proper labeling across departments, organizing meals and ensuring knowledge of production runs.
  • Enforcing integrity and maintaining of logs.
  • Making sure production is running efficiently and meeting their quotas for the shifts.
  • Implementing and enforcing HACCP and GMPs.
  • Monitoring, tracking and moving products as required between departments.
  • Following testing procedures based on company’s policies and procedures.
  • Act as liaison between company and retail partner.
  • Responsible for aiding Coordinator in binning proteins and vegetables.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper change over when binning.

Work Environment:

While performing duties, the employee will work in a cold room food production environment.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach. Lift/push and pull up to 50 lbs. Work in cold/hot environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday – Sunday.

Days and hours are subject to change depending on Company needs.
