Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field and two years of research experience in the collection and analysis of data; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.

Familiarity with health disparities and community engagement. Demonstrated experience with both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Experience with Excel, SAS, SPSS, R, or other software used in data analysis. Experience with software such as Tableau, ArcGIS, or other software used for data visualization and mapping. Master's degree in Public Health or a related field, such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Epidemiology, Statistics, Quality Improvement, Social Work, Communications, and so forth.
Responsibilities :
The Program Research Specialist II will be joining a dynamic team that is committed to eliminating health disparities. The role will be involved in synthesizing findings from community-based grantees regarding the promotion of COVID-19 health literacy, chronic disease prevention and social determinants of health. Analyzing qualitative data, as well as quantitative data, will be a key part of the day-to-day responsibilities. The role will include creating data visualizations, summaries, and presentations, tailored to specific audiences. The resulting findings will be focused on spurring action to improve the wellbeing of people in underserved communities in New York State.
