JOB ANNOUNCEMENT


Project Coordinator


Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection


Public Vehicles Licensing Operations


Number of Positions: 2


Under general supervision, coordinates the administration, development and implementation of projects or programs moderate in size and scope for a City department; and performs related duties as required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serves as a project or program supervisor,
  • Oversees staff and work operations to ensure established goals and

objectives are met.

  • Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of program operations.
  • Plans work schedules and priorities for program activities.
  • Participates in preparing project or program operating budgets and monitors budget expenditures.
  • Designs, implements, monitors, and reassesses procedures utilized in program evaluation.
  • Develops marketing strategies to encourage participation in City projects and programs.
  • Audits and approves contractor and consultant vouchers for payment.
  • Acts as a liaison with City departments, public and private agencies, and business organizations to secure commitments in providing services to program participants, sharing program information, and obtaining additional

funding support.

  • Monitors and provides direction to consultants engaged in administering program activities.
  • Prepares narrative and statistical program status reports.
  • RELATED DUTIES: Attends community, civic and business organization meetings

Location: BACP Offices, 2350 W. Ogden, 1st Floor

Days: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:30AM to 4:30PM

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a related field, supplemented by three years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.


NOTE: You must provide your transcripts or diploma, professional license, or training certificates at time of processing, if applicable. You must also provide your valid U.S. driver's license at time of processing.


SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires an applicant to successfully complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral interview will be selected.


Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:


  • Project management or supervisory experience related to the role
  • Previous customer facing customer service experience
  • Previous professional experience using Microsoft office suite
  • Previous experience using data management software
  • Ability to fluently read, write and speak any language other than English
