Summary:

A Project Engineer will support Project Teams in the successful completion of construction projects, from the initial hand-off from Estimating through final completion and close-out. PEs are responsible for assisting with the overall project planning and scheduling, reporting, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and applicable laws and regulations.

Five Key Roles of the Project Engineer:

• Assisting and collaborating with the Project Manager and/or Superintendent
• Document control for contracts and internal softwares
• Handle correspondences with customers or vendors in a professional manner
• Expediting, problem solving, labor cost reporting and scheduling for projects
• CAD drawings and BIM Modeling

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Staying up to date with laws and regulations that can affect the project

• Collaborate on estimating extra work when necessary
• Assist in department projects as needed

• Other relevant tasks as assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals

Travel:

Travel to and from job sites and office locations is required for this position. Fessler & Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable.

Work Environment:

As a Project Engineer, you will be subject to various work environments. These environments include office and field settings. Employee must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
