About this role:
Due to the company’s consistent growth, WORKS by JD is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team.
The Project Manager ensures all project estimates are 100% accurate and delivery of WORKS high-quality residential remodeling and construction services is up to the standards and specifications laid out in the WORKS building and standards documentation provided to all employees to ensure the work can be warranted for 5 years.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Estimating and presenting accurate proposals that reflect the high-quality services provided by WORKS.
- Thorough comprehension of architectural plans, permits, and working drawings.
- Procuring special order products and materials for the project, as well as permits required by local and state jurisdictions.
- Preparing contract documents and production schedules.
- Managing home remodeling projects to meet or exceed financial, scheduling, and client expectations.
- Managing clients, field crews, and subcontractors from the initial project design phase through completion.
- Communicating project status, updates, schedules, change orders, resource requirements, material project changes, and any other documentation required for the project, to all essential parties, including clients, with a need to know.
- Attending internal and external meetings when
- Managing the quality control process and workmanship of assigned projects to meet industry and WORKS standards
- Identifying potential process improvements and implementing approved changes.
- Evaluating and assessing field crews
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications.
- A Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management
- Previous experience as an estimator, architect, engineer, designer, construction manager, project manager or similar position.
- The talent to continuously maintain a high level of customer service and a strong work ethic.
- Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
- Previous experience using BuilderTrend construction management software as well as solid technical skills including database management, Excel, and Word. Applicants will be tested on their ab
- A thorough understanding of building/remodeling, project estimating, construction terminology, and processes.
- Exceptional organization and tracking abilities.
- The ability to work both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
- An exceptional level of professionalism at all times.
- The ability to travel 45 minutes to 1 hour outside of Beverly to various job sites.
- The willingness to work inside or outside in New England weather throughout the year.
- This position is an office and field hybrid and will require the physical agility to maneuver in both environments. Managing jobs from the planning stages through the build requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, and drive throughout the day or for extended periods of time.
