SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, the ideal candidate will be able to analyze data, write reports, and deliver presentations to various stakeholders..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the engineering and design validation teams to create and maintain up-to-date schedules for project development and release.
- Perform risk and critical path analysis, provide routine status reports, and estimate release dates.
- Assist Director of Engineering to keep projects on schedule.
- Assist engineering team to adhere it its own process and established standards.
- Create and maintain master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of deliverables.
- Communicate with manufacturing to schedule prototype and pilot builds according to project plans and maintain status of prototype builds.
- Tracks costs of each project on monthly basis.
- Monitor schedule compliance levels and identify reasons for completion delays.
- Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
- Perform general administrative office functions in support of the Director of Engineering to accomplish engineering team objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or Natural Sciences preferred.
- 5+ years related experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- High level of organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Planning and project management skills, familiarity with PMBOK and/or Scrum/Agile is a plus.
- Experience in scheduling and case tracking software is preferred.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
