JOB DESCRIPTION
PUMP MECHANIC

Location- Norwalk, CT
King Industries, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pump Mechanic. In this role, you will assemble and install pumps and pump wiring, and assist with the repair and installation of chemical piping, steam, air, water, and other components throughout the King Industries plant. As a Pump
Mechanic at King Industries, you will be part of the company’s maintenance department which already has a staff of three pump mechanics.

Skills Required:

• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and multiplication).
• Ability to read and respond to written instructions.
• Knowledge and mechanical ability to repair wire, maintain chemical, pumps, piping, and process equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience as a pump repair and maintenance craftsman. Experience with automotive mechanics is a plus.
• Trade school or letter recommendation from former employer of experience and abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remove, repair and install pumps and pump wiring, chemical piping, steam, air, water, and components throughout the plant year-round.
• Assist with moving and installing equipment on all elevations.
• Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with company safety programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
