Overview:

The CDC Foundation is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Crisis Response System in Nevada, and will be responsible for the design and implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance program. This position will conduct systematic reviews and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of client care and services, identify opportunities for improvement, and work with partners and staff to resolve identified problems and deficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, human development, special education, public health, or behavioral or social science
  • Four years of professional experience in performing program evaluation, quality assurance/improvement, and/or utilization review activities for a human services program or agency
  • Familiarity with quality care standards
  • Experience with data and research interpretation

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a quality assurance/quality improvement lead for the Crisis Response System
  • Foster partnerships
  • Understand public and behavioral health data
  • Best practice implementation experience
  • Understand and implement federal and state grant regulations and policies

Special Notes:

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health in order to best support the State of Nevada in their public health programming.

The CDC Foundation requires all employees to be fully vaccinated* for COVID-19 as a condition of employment effective November 22, 2021. All offers of employment after that date are contingent upon proof of full-vaccination status as a part of the pre-employment process.
  • Fully vaccinated is defined as follows: At least two weeks have passed since receipt of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine, or the second dose of the either the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech two-dose vaccines.

This position is located in Carson City and will be working part time in the office, part time telecommuting for the foreseeable future. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
