Quality Reviewer - Tax Assistance Job at GoodTemps Inc.
We are recruiting three Designated Quality Reviewers for the Income Tax Assistance program through Goodwill Industries of West Michigan. This is a seasonal position through the income tax season (January - April). Three Reviewers are needed; one for each County; Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo. You must certify at the advanced level; paid training will be provided. Training starts January 3, 2023.
Job description/responsibilities:
- Review tax returns completed by volunteer tax preparers ensuring every taxpayer receives top quality service and ensure the tax returns are error free
- Proof-read the data entered by the tax preparer which includes all numbers, names, addresses, etc. to ensure that all entries are correct
- Respond to volunteer questions regarding accessing training resources and questions they may have outside of training
- Certify to the advanced level of the IRS VITA certification
- Complete virtual intake for Scan-N-Go clients when needed
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must have U.S. Citizenship or Legal Resident status
- No fraud or embezzlement charges
- Must have at least 1 year of tax preparation experience, preferably with TaxWise software
