JOB SUMMARY
Oversees and manages outsourced maintenance projects. Coordinates the records review and conformity inspection process for aircraft being added to the Company operating certificate. Reviews Maintenance Control processes and procedures for currency and performs audits to ensure compliance by Maintenance Controllers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Oversees and manages outsourced maintenance projects.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for external maintenance vendors
  • Ensures materials furnished by AEL for outsourced maintenance projects are appropriately ordered, shipped, and handled
  • Reviews all maintenance releases and associated paperwork prior to aircraft being returned to service
  • Coordinates the records review and conformity inspection process for aircraft being added to the Air Evac operating certificate.
  • Coordinates with the Maintenance Control Records Supervisor to complete the records review and input of data into the tracking systems
  • Audits the tracking system and advises maintenance technicians of any necessary maintenance to be performed prior to the aircraft being added to the AEL operating certificate
  • Ensures all aspects of the conformity checklist are completed
  • Reviews Maintenance Control processes and procedures for currency and performs audits to ensure compliance by the Maintenance Controllers.
  • Supports Supply Chain personnel with verifying applicability of parts and materials being ordered for the fleet

OTHER DUTIES
  • Collaborates with the Maintenance Planner to schedule and plan external maintenance events
  • Develops and tests new software, processes, and procedures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience required
Minimum 3 years of helicopter maintenance experience preferred

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Skills:
  • Current A & P Certificate or equivalent required
  • Current State Driver's License required
  • Inspection Authorization preferred
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Well-organized, analytical and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge in aircraft, engine, and component records

Working Conditions:
Primarily works in an office environment, but may be occasionally asked to work in a hangar or flight line environment and may be subject to extreme heat conditions

Physical Demands:
  • May be required to sit or stand/walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be capable of comprehending and following oral and/or written procedures
  • Must be capable of effectively communicating with personnel at all levels of the organization
