Registered Nurse III:

Location: Norman OK

Position: In-person with availability for Day and Night Shift times.

The State of Oklahoma is looking for registered nurses! Applicants should have 2+ years of professional nursing experience and be able to provide certification from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or the Enhanced Nurse License Compact (eNLC) to be considered for the position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assess health status of individuals, families, and communities. Nurses will develop plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Evaluate and determine health resources necessary to meet individual, family, and community health needs.
• Educates individuals, families, communities, and members of the health care team about the principles of disease prevention and health promotion.
• Provides supervision to other professional or paraprofessional personnel; collaborates with other professionals in health care management.
• Assures quality health care through use of various measures such as record review, peer review, direct observation, and assessment of individual, family, and community for the desired outcome.
• Performs specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared.

This is a senior level position and RN III’s will be assigned additional responsibility through projects, where the RN has independence in overseeing, planning, organizing, and completing work. This additional responsibility may include but is not limited to:

• Scheduling work assignments for staff.
• Evaluating health care and performance of assigned staff.
• Providing training to employees.

Administrative responsibilities for the position may include approving leave and initiating disciplinary actions to staff. This position can also act for nurse managers when they are absent from the workplace.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Registered Nurses will be trained and certified by the state of Oklahoma with the addition of the following training courses:

• Completion of one of the required departmental sponsored trainings in case management.
  • Behavioral Health Case Manager- Adult; certified
  • Behavioral Health Case Manager- Child, Adolescent, and Family
  • Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager- Dual Certification.
